About Mr. Schrader
Clayton Schrader is an elementary educator currently living in Lawrence, Kansas, and working in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated college from Washburn University in Topeka, KS with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Special Education.
Mr. Schrader loves to teach. When a person goes into the teaching profession, a lot of people ask why they do so. For Mr. Schrader, that is a million dollar question that is hard to find a distinct answer to. Ever since he was a small child, he played teacher with his friends. Since this time, he has known that he wanted to be a teacher. He believes every child can learn, but they may learn differently. Some students learn by kinesthetic activities, others by music, reading, art, and many more.
Mr. Schrader loves learning, and he hopes to pass that idea on to his students. In his classroom, Mr. Schrader likes problem-based learning, and giving students an option to discuss and use inquiry to learn. We are use a variety of projects, group work, and technology to help us learn.
In his spare time, Mr. Schrader loves to cook, run, read, play his guitar, and watch movies. He loves spending time with his fiance, Maret, and his two year old Great Dane, Harley, and cat, Predicate. Also, Mr. Schrader loves to travel and is lucky to have been to many states and other countries of the world.
