commentMr. Schrader - You bet, and thanks for the comment. I love that parents can come on here and get a glimpse of what we're doing! I'm really excited that he likes to share with you.
Check out our six layer science burrito. Today in science we began our first unit of study -- properties of matter, and this project helped get us in the frame of mind of thinking about density. We slowly added substances found from around the house. The layers are from the bottom up in this order: syrup, dish detergent, water, vegetable oil, rubbing alcohol, and lamp oil (for Tiki Torches).

I took a picture so that we could share. We could have added a seventh layer, honey, but I did not have it on hand. It would have been the bottom most layer. We are excited to watch and see if any changes happen over time.
