Regular Schedule
8:45 - 9:15: Morning Meeting
During this time, students start their day writing the day's agenda, doing Daily Oral Language, and morning work.
9:15 - 9:45: Shared Reading
This is the time we work on literature, vocabulary, or writing.
9:45 - 10:35: Music / PE
10:35 - 10:50: StudyCast
When we return from Music / PE, we work on our StudyCasts.
10:50- 12:10: Guided Reading
During these rotations, students may be doing guided reading with the teacher, working at their seats and around the room doing Pick 5, working with another staff member.
12:10 - 12:35: Lunch / Recess
12:35 - 12:45: Seatwork
This is ten minutes of transition time before social studies or science.
12:45 - 1:15: Social Studies / Science Departmentalizing
Ms. Meyer comes into our classroom to teach social studies while Mr. Schrader teaches her class science.
1:15 - 1:45: Science
Mr. Schrader returns to his regular classroom for science intsruction.
1:45 - 2:30: Math Instruction
2:30 - 2:45: Recess
2:45 - 3:30: Math Workshop
During these rotations, students complete math work, work on computers, work in small groups, or get individual help.
3:30 - 3:45: Wrap Up, Announcements, Exit Slips, Read Aloud, Dismissal
